Ravi Mallavarapu, M.D.

Dr. Mallavarapu joins us from the Division of Nephrology at the University of Virginia. He is the recipient of multiple awards and has published extensively. After completing medical school and internship from Andhra Medical College, one of the premier medical schools in India, Dr. Mallavarapu did his internal medicine training at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. He was the recipient of the prestigious resident of the year award at that institution, and also won first prize for clinical-oral presentation at the 2008 American College of Physicians meeting. He earned board certification in internal medicine in 2008 and is currently board certified in nephrology. Dr. Mallavarapu has an expertise in all aspects of inpatient and outpatient nephrology. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, listening to classical music, and driving along the Skyline Drive.
